I remember talking about xobni sometime ago. xobni is good. I did notice slower Microsoft Outlook “experience” and crashes, but it has its advantages. I uninstalled xobni after sometime. That was sometime in april last year. I didn’t know that Khosla Ventures, Cisco, and others had invested in xobni. Not that my using xobni and investors interests connect in any way, but that’s not the point.
Last year, I used gist briefly and it looked very interesting and promising. I had problems using its outlook plugin, but the web part worked amazingly well. I think that Gist takes the right approach towards integrating your contacts and information about your contacts. I’ll try to write a structured crtique about gist, my privacy concerns et al sometime. Check their site to know more about gist.
